Unidentified gunmen shot at and killed former militant at his shop in South Kashmir’s Bijbehara town.
Reports said that Munawar Zaman Malik son of Manzoor Ahmad Malik, a former Hizb militant was shot at and injured by two unidentified gunmen when he was busy in his shoe wear shop in Bijbehara.
“At around 7:30 pm gun shots were heard and meanwhile people saw Munawar in pool of blood,” a local said. “He was shot in his head. He was rushed to sub-district hospital Bijbehara wherefrom he was referred to SKIMS in Srinagar.”
Police spokesperson in Srinagar confirmed the incident and said that the victim died on his way to hospital.
