Hurriyat Conference G Wednesday said that they are in touch with ‘like-minded’ separatist leaders and the organization has started to work on the unity proposal of different separatist groups.

Pertinently, Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani had extended invitations to Hurriyat Conference (JK) leaders Shabir Ahmed Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and others to participate in their seminar that was foiled by police on Wednesday. All these leaders were present when Geelani defied police restrictions and appeared on the air-port Hyderpora road.

Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar told CNS that they are in touch with all the like-minded separatist leaders and a step towards the unity has already been initiated. “We want unity among like-minded separatist leaders and in this regard work is in progress,” he said adding that hopefully all the like-minded separatist leaders and organization will come under one roof in near future.

Another Hurriyat (G) leader said that Geelani is keen to have a united platform and he has decided to bring all the like-minded separatist leaders under one roof.
