Another IED blast in Poonch, two army men including a Major critically injured

In another Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, two army men including a Major sustained injuries, official sources told GNS.


The blast took place at around 6:30 pm Thursday evening, they said.


The IED blast took place at Turkandi forest near LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch in which two army men identified as Major Bhatia of 66 Engineer Regiment and Sepoy Khushandar Singh of 7 Sikh Regiment sustained critical injuries.


Both the injured army men were rushed to Army hospital Rajouri where they are being treated upon, sources said.


Earlier in the morning, an army trooper was killed while three others were injured after an IED blast took place at the same place.
