2 die, 4 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR


Two persons died while four others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said on Sunday.


Traffic Constable Abdul Rashid resident of Tral who was injured in an accident at Sanat nagar on April 22 succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura.


Meanwhile, an unknown Sumo hit and injured a pedestrian Syeda Begum resident of Saderkote Bala at Saderkote Bala, in Sumbal, Bandipora. She was shifted to hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries.


A load carrier without registration number turned turtle at Vaikoo, in Kunzer, Baramulla resulting in injuries to two persons. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.


In another accident, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Rafiqa Bano resident of Madipora at Highway Madipora, in Kupwara. She was shifted to hospital for treatment.


Abdul Hamid son of Abdul Jamal resident of Qamarwari, Srinagar sustained injuries when the tyre of his Scooter bearing registration number JK01/1012 he was riding bursted at Reram, in Kunzar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
