Chairman JKLF Yasin Malik Monday said that Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone and Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq are among those martyrs who will always be remembered and followed.
In a statement issued by the organization, Yasin malik said, “Today we remember these two leaders who sacrificed their lives for a cause”. Recalling the sacrifices of Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone, Yasin Malik said that he was one of the best politicians, intellectual and human beings who fought selflessly for the cause of Kashmiris. “Braving the sufferings and miseries, he rejected power and joined the separatist struggle. His separation was a personal loss for him as he was a selfless well wisher of JKLF,” the statement said.
Malik also highlighted the contribution of Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooqq, he said, “Mirwaiz Farooq belonged to a family that has always inspired Kashmiris”, the statement added.
“His family led this nation in several fields including politics, education, and religion. Mirwaiz himself tolerated the hardships of jails, torture and oppression in his life time”, the statement added.
