Police seek 10 more days Shopian Killings

One man Commission probing Gagrin killings at the hands of CRPF personnel in South Kashmir’s Shopian district adjourned the proceedings till June 4 next month after police assured the Commission that it will take at least 10 days for them to come back with the necessary record from Chandigarh.


One man Commission headed by Retired Justice M.L.Koul told CNS that Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir has permitted Sub Inspector Muzamil Ahmed to proceed to Chandigarh and collect the mobile records, FSLS report and other relevant data from the CFSL lab Chandigarh.


“Police stated that it will take at least 10 more days to collect such data and till then the Commission adjourned its proceedings till June 4 next month,” he said adding that the Investigating Officer Muhammad Afzal and Dy SP headquarters Kupwara have been directed to remain present on June 4 so that their evidences are recorded.
