Power restored in Srinagar after 5 hours of grid breakdown

Most of the Srinagar city went into dark after the 100 Mega Watt Rawal Pora grid, a key station in Srinagar had a breakdown on Sunday.

The breakdown took place at 5:25, the officials said.

“Due to flush in 33Kv bus, equipment in grid there was collapse in power transmission,” officials at PDD informed. The breakdown affected most of the Srinagar city and particularly south part. “We put our teams on work of restoration and they have repaired it,” officials at Rawalpora Grid said.

The power was restored after nearly 5 hours of the breakdown.
