In a first of its kind, the State Government of Jammu & Kashmir has given a go ahead to the state cricket academy at Srinagar’s Bakshi stadium.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and President J&K Sports Council, and J&K Minister for Sports Imran Raza Ansari, approved the decision to start the state’s first cricket academy.
“Cricket academy for state’s budding cricketers was long over due. This state of the art academy will give fillip to cricketing activities and help many deserving to build career under the watch of professional trainers and coaches,” Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is also President of the Council said.
