Kupwara killing: Kashmir observes shutdown

Srinagar: Normal life was affected in Kashmir on Sunday due to shutdown call given by joint separatist camp to protest killing of elderly person in Kupwara.

According to reports reaching Kashmir Life newsroom, all the shops anf other business establishment are closed in main markets of valley. There is no public transport on roads. However private transport was seen plying on roads.

The reports said forces have been deployed at sensitive places.

Pertinently Mohammad Yousf Bhat died after government forces fired to quell protests in Panzgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara. The protests had erupted after fidayeen attack left three armymen and two militants dead.
