A day after People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti maintained that it is not necessary to have separatists part of all Indo-Pak talks, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee chief G A Mir Tuesday said that Mehbooba Mufti authenticated the theory of Nirmal Singh and it has now become clear that there is no difference between PDP and BJP. “The party (PDP) that harped on Self-Rule, battle of ideas and Indo-Pak talks has started showing its colour in Power. It is strange that Mehbooba has started the language of BJP,” Mir told CNS adding that it were Hurriyat or sentimental votes that helped PDP to grab power in the State.

Mir said that it has become very difficult for the people of Kashmir to guess who is actually ruling the state. “There are multiple faces in multiple shapes which are at the helm of affairs.

“Omar Abdullah was correct when he said that there are two chief ministers in the state, Nirmal Singh in Jammu and Mufti Muhammad Sayeed in Kashmir. I should say there are multiple chief ministers. There is a Chief Minister who has been operating from hospitals and there is also a chief minister from Nagpur,” he said.

Responding to a question, State Congress President Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that there is internal discord in the coalition partners. “Modi has made Mufti dry and cry by stopping the aid that PDP expected from New Delhi. New Delhi is not ready to provide package to Jammu and Kashmir as coalition partners don’t see eye to eye with each other. There is fuss and confusion. It is irony that Mufti has failed to get even approved annual plan of Rs 8,000 Crore from the Union,” he said.

“The ‘so-called’ developmental agenda of PDP and BJP as promised by them during elections has proved a hoax aiming to secure votes for the sake of power,” Mir claimed. “No steps or decisions about welfare of people of all the three regions were taken by the present dispensation as they (coalition partners) are busy in internal discord and leg pulling each other. Not only this, both PDP and BJP are hell bent upon to victimize the opponents purely on political grounds aiming to crush the opposition,” Mir said and alleged that State Government left no stone unturned in scuttling the Kashmir visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

“Rigid stand between the PDP and BJP for maintaining upper edge in the coalition is anguishing the people most. Coalition government’s lack of concern for the people has further disturbed the socio, political, economic set up of the state, to a great extent,” he claimed.
