Advising Saif Ud Din Soz to pull back from the Coalition Government to avoid further humiliation from National Conference leaders, Member Parliament and senior People’s Democratic Party leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh Tuesday alleged that Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather has amassed huge wealth from last five and a half years.
Addressing a party convention at Langate Handwara in North Kashmir, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said that if State Congress president wants to save himself from the humiliation that is inflicted upon him on and off by National Conference then he should pull back from the Coalition Government without wasting any time. “If Soz has guts and courage, then he should withdraw support to Omar led government. We have seen how often NC leaders have been humiliating and insulting Soz,” he said.
He added that Omar Abdullah is not interested in holding Cabinet Meetings and by doing so he (Omar) is indirectly insulting the State Congress president. “The present NC-Congress coalition government is lifeless and it lacks coordination. This government has become the continuous source of nuisance for the people of Jammu and Kashmir as it has failed to address their problems,” Beigh said.
Muzaffar Hussain Beigh alleged that Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather has taken advantage of non-accountability in the state and accumulated huge wealth since he took over as Finance Minister in 2008. “Rather has movable and immovable property worth crores while people have noting at their disposal. One the one hand a Minister has looted the state while on the other hand, the government has taken a loan of Rs 300 crore from Vaishnav Devi Board to pay the salaries of employees,” he said adding that our State has become bankrupt due to the loot and fraud committed by the present government.
Senior Peoples Democratic leader also criticized Hurriyat leaders and said these people have no agenda and they have disappointed people at every stage. “Hurriyat leaders have no agenda. Some support Pakistan while some seek independence. They are disintegrated lot and if they want to prove their point and represent people in true manner then they must pursue the same agenda,” he said and appealed the people of North Kashmir to show door to National Conference in all eight Assembly constituencies in the forth coming elections.
