Balraj Puri’s Stand On Human Rights Was Appreciative: Geelani

After the last rites of veteran journalist Balraj Puri, Kashmir separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani has talked to his widow and conveyed his condolences.


“I was having personal relations with him and I found him a good and humble person. Being a king in the field of journalism, he was also having a deep political insight and with regarding to the human rights, his stand was very appreciative,” Geelani has stated in his message.


Meanwhile Geelani has termed the repeated arrest of Masarat Alam Bhat as the worst kind of state terrorism. He also expressed his deep concern over the continuous imprisonment of all the political prisoners including Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Amir Hamza, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi, Abdullah Nasir, Abdul Majeed Parray, Mohammad Altaf Khan, Asadullah Parray, Showkat Hakeem, Mehraj-ud-din Nanda, Molvi Sajad and Showkat Ahmad Kulgam.
