JKEDI in collaboration with District Employment and Counselling Centre, Ganderbal organized a daylong Awareness-cum-Loan Mela at Ganderbal today for the unemployed educated youth interested to start their own enterprises. The unemployed educated youth were made aware about the National Minority Development Finance Corporation (NMDFC) schemes and all other JKEDI-sponsored schemes available for the youth interested to start their own income generating units in the district, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Moreover, officers from different line departments including District Industries Centre, Lead Bank, KVIB, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Handicrafts and Handloom Departments participated and deliberated on the schemes implemented by them in the programme.
The programme was attended by large number of unemployed youth from different areas of the district. An interactive session with unemployed youth was also held on the occasion, it added.
