1 dies, 7 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR


One person died and seven other were injured in different road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Tuesday.


A Maruti car bearing registration number JK01D/2859 turned turtle and fell in to a deep Nalla near Bajri Nallah Zojila resulting in on spot death of the driver Ghulam Nabi Shah son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Gutlibagh, Ganderbal and injuries to another person. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.


Meanwhile, a scooter bearing registration number JK05/3947 hit and injured an 8 month old child Rukaya daughter of Zahoor Ahmed Chopan resident of Chittergul Kangan at Kangan market, Ganderbal. The injured child was shifted to Sub District hospital, Kangan for treatment.


In another accident, a Tata Indica bearing chasis number MET 601469PBA01317 skidded off the road at NHW Chanabal, in Mirgund, resulting in injuries to four persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.


A load carrier bearing registration number JKB-081 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Shaban resident of Baghandar Humhama, in Humhama. The injured was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
