Srinagar: Army on Monday claimed that the bodies of two of its soldiers killed in an attack along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir were “mutilated” by Pakistan army.
A statement issued by the Northern Army command said, “Pakistan army carried out unprovoked rocket and mortar firing on two forward posts on the line of control in Krishna Ghati sector.”
The statement termed it “an un-soldierly act”.
The statement said that simultaneously, a BAT action was launched on a patrol operating in between the two posts. In an un-soldierly act by the Pak army, the bodies of two of our soldiers in the patrol were mutilated.” The army warned that they will avenge the Pak army action.
“Such despicable act of Pakistan army will be appropriately responded,” added the statement.
