SRINAGAR: IMPARD where the two J&K cadre IAS officers were going to be trained formally before being inducted into the state service, had to break for a few moments to condole death of one of them
AshishDahiya, a 2016 Batch J&K Cadre IAS officer passed away Monday evening at Delhi. Dahiya was supposed to join J&K IMPARD for Institutional Training tomorrow but sadly the state could not take benefit of his experience and expertise.
A mechanical engineer by training he was a resident of Sonipat, Haryana.
Before cracking the IAS, Ashish worked in several organisations of repute which included as Sales Officer cum Area Manager, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Baraily, Dy SP Himachal Pradesh Police , Assistant Commissioner (p) Government of India, Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise)
On hearing about the sad demise of the young officer, a Condolence meeting was held at J&K IMPARD, Srinagar which was chaired by Vice Chairman & Director General Pramod Jain, (IAS) wherein rich tributes were paid to Ashish. Although he departed before coming to the State, the officer had proved his worth in the organisations he worked with. Deep heartfelt sympathies were extended to the bereaved family by the Vice Chairman & Director General, all the faculty members, ministerial staff and the officer trainees. Everyone prayed for peace to the departed soul.
In separate messages, Chief Minister and the governor have also condoled the death of a young administrator.
