Intruder killed at LoC: Army

Srinagar

Army on Sunday claimed to have killed an “intruder” on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

“Soldiers noticed suspicious movement on the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector around 2.30 a.m,” reports said quoting army sources.

Identity of “intruder” is yet to be ascertained, army said.

The situation along LoC continues to remain tense from past couple of weeks. The two sides regularly trade fire.

On May 13 two civilians were killed in Rajouri district in the exchange of fire between two sides.

Later on Indian Army claimed to have destroyed Pakistani posts. However, Pakistani army belied Indian claims and released a video showing destruction of Indian Army posts.

On Friday Indian Army said that it killed two BAT militants at LOC in Uri sector.
