Two residential houses went into flames in Boniyar Baramulla

Srinagar   

Two residential houses gutted in a fire incident on Thursday morning in Rampore village in Boniyar area of Bramulla.

Fire erupted mysteriously in morning and engulfed two single-story houses, locals informed adding that, fire tenders were called in but they managed to reach when locals managed to douse flame.

The houses damaged belonged to two brothers, Farooaq Ahmad Mir and Manzoor Ahmad Mir, locals said.

Meanwhile, locals have demanded that a Fire and Emergency station should be stationed at Boniyar as the nearest fire tender is available at Uri that is 20 kilometers far from the place.

Boniyar is a Tehsil and we are demanding from last ten years that a fire tender shoud be stationed, a local said. “The fire tenders have to either come from Baramula town that is 30 kilometers from here or from Uri where single fire tender is stationed.”
