International Islamic School students bad five gold medals at in Thailand

The students of International Islamic School, Peerbagh, Srinagar have brought laurels for the school and the state by bagging five gold medals in the recent Asian Sqay Championship held in Thailand.

The management of the school congratulated its five students for winning gold medals at the 5th Asian sqay championship which was held at Chiang Mai Thailand from 19th of April to 21st of April, school administration said.
It was for the first time that such a large number of students from a single school have won five gold medals in a row in an international championship, the statement said.

The students include Aayat Alam, Anas Ishtaq, Noor-ul-Haya, Rabeeh Chisti and Mehnoor Bashir.

With their world class performance at the event, the five students have been selected for the upcoming junior world sqay championship too.

School management has expressed hope and satisfaction over the performance of the students and said that the winning streak will continue in the future too. The management is also thankful to Miss Salma (Mentor), who did a tremendous job in building the team.

The management said that the school believes in providing world class education to students that also includes training the students in various sports activities under master trainers. The school stresses on balanced mental and physical development of students.
