While commenting on threats to form counter stone pelter group “Janh Senha” by a Hindu organisation, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has said that “the claim has yet again exposed India’s insecurity in Kashmir.” While addressing various public meetings in Kupwara Rasheed said that “Hindu priest has not said it on his own but has the full backing of various agencies,” AIP spokesperson said in a statement.
Rasheed said “One should not forget that former defense Minister Manohar Parikar had hinted at reviving Ikhwan counter insurgents by saying that diamond cuts diamond. It seems that India has now failed to higher even Ikhwanis in Kashmir and even Ikhwanis don’t trust the false promises of New Delhi, so after being left with no options now tribals are being prepared to replace Ikhwanis.”
“But when regular Army of seven lackh soldiers, Para-military forces and other draconian measures have failed to break will of Kashmiris, these stupid but colonial ideas are bound to fail,” he said.
Rasheed ridiculed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her claim that government would follow Vajpayee’s policy and said that “Kashmiris have rejected Vajpayee’s policy in Kashmir and those praising Vajpayee are trying to mislead none but themselves.”
