PDP, a democratic platform for Youth: Waheed Parra

sumbal-5PDP District President Bandipora and Member Legislative Council, Yasir Reshi Saturday asked the party cadres to act as agents of change as they have a crucial role to play and a great responsibility to discharge in shaping up a politically stable and economically vibrant Jammu & Kashmir.

He said that PDP from the first day is working for peaceful Jammu and Kashmir and to bring relief to the people of the state.  He appealed workers to work for strengthening the party at grassroots level.

Addressing day-long PDP workers convention at Sumbal Sonawarie of Bandipora District, Reshi according to spokesman said the formation of PDP-BJP coalition is aimed at not only change of government in the state but its objective is to transform the very system of governance by addressing the concerns of mis-governance, talks with neighboring country and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir.

He further added that service to people is the mission of PDP. “Present government is the government of people and asked workers to play their role in the development process,” he said.

While referring to the political interference in previous governments, Reshi said they have destroyed an administrative system which is now being set right. “NC and Congress who used to said that Pakistan should be attacked are now following the peace and reconciliation ideology of PDP,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, PDP Youth Wing President Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said workers are strength of any party. He asked the workers to bring government schemes at ground level and aware people so that they can take benefits of it. He further asked the Youth to avail opportunities lying with the government and assured them all support and said that PDP is committed to the dignity of Kashmiri’s.

Earlier, the workers of National Conference and Congress party joined PDP in front of the District President and Youth President.

The workers apprised leaders regarding their problems which includes, hand pumps, transformer, issuance and verification of BPL ration cards, repairing of roads, enhancement of funds allocated for construction under MGNERGA, etc.

After listening the grievances both the leaders assured to solve all genuine demands at the earliest.
