Dry weather conditions likely to continue in Valley

The night temperature across Kashmir division remained below the freezing point, even as there was relief from the cold conditions at some places today.

The weathermen have predicted light rainfall or snow at few places over the next 24 hours.

Although there is a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches today, dry weather conditions are likely to continue in the state this week, officials at the MeT department said.

The prolonged dry weather conditions have led to various ailments in Valley.

Last night, minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded minus 0.3 degree Celsius and Minus 2.2 degrees in Pahalgam, while the famous ski-resort of Gulmarg registered the low of 0.8 degrees Celsius, up from the previous night’s minus 0.6 degrees Celsius officials said.

Meanwhile, Leh was the coldest place recording a minimum of minus 4.6 degree Celsius.
