35 Kgs Of Free RationTo Be For Six Months : Govt

Clearing the confusion over the quantity of free ration to be distributed because of floods, the state government today said that it will issue 35 kilograms of rice free of cost for six months among the flood affected families of valley.


According to the KNS correspondent, the government has issued an order number 03-REV (CAMP) of 2014 by virtue of which the CAPD department will distribute the free ration.


In an order number DCAPDK/p&s/2014/497, the director has clarified the confusion saying that 35 kilograms of rice will be distributed among the flood affected families of valley for six months. The director CAPD has also issued the directions to all assistant directors of his department to comply with the order.


Earlier, people from various flood affected areas of valley had complained that serious dearth of ration is being felt on ground with the government promises of distributing 50 kgs of rice free of cost, contradicts the ground situation. The people which expressing strong resentment also had stated that the ration depots deny them the ration facility with an excuse of having no formal government order for free distribution of rice grains.
