An IB officer was fond dead at his rented residence in city’s Shivpora belt, police said. Cause of death was not known immediately.
Identified as Vinod Joshi of Luckhnow, he was living in Jhelum Guest House at Shivpora. He was of around 48 years old and was functioning as Deputy Superintendent of Police with the Intelligence Bureau.
Sources said that after he did not report to office on Thursday, his office sent his colleagues to his residence where he was found dead. He was rushed to Army hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police was informed and the officers body was sent for post-mortem. The report of the autopsy was awaited. Police sources said it sounds to be a heart attack but it can be only confirmed once the autopsy report comes. Already, police have registered a case in this connection.
