Srinagar: A family from Old Srinagar city Monday made a vehement appeal to Director General of Police to trace their missing 17 years old son who according to them went missing on last Wednesday.
Abdul Rasheed from Banamohalla Fathekadal area of Srinagar city said that his son 17 years old son Saqib Rasheed disappeared in mysterious circumstances on 22 February and since then they don’t know his whereabouts.
“We lodged a missing report in police station MR Gunj but of no avail. We appeal DG Police Mr SP Ved to personally look into the matter and direct concerned police station to take pains in the case,” the family members said.
A police official from MR Gunj said that a few day’s back an unknown boy jumped into the River Jehlum near Zaina Kadal. “We are trying to fish out the body of that unknown boy. We assume that it was the same boy, but are not sure. Efforts are on to trace the boy,” he said.
