The students of the BSC Final year Tuesday continued to protest against the varsity authorities for ‘failing to provide any relaxation to them in their syllabus’.

The students were also protesting against the authorities saying the date issued to them is like a “mental torture” as they have been given too less time to prepare for the exams.

The students assembled at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and chanted slogans against varsity authorities. The protesting BSC final year students were demanding relaxation in syllabus and revised date sheet.

The students said that date sheet has been announced all of a sudden and there is a just a gap of ten day.

“In between the papers there is only one day gap. This is like a mental torture for us,” Aarifa Rashid, a protesting students said.

Citing an earlier notice, they said it was made clear that they would be given complete relaxation.

“We have been earlier asked that practical’s will be asked after the written exams. Now we are asked to fill the forms and also appear for the examinations both written and practicals in fifteen days,” they said.

The students demanded that a fresh date sheet be issued so that they get an ample time to prepare for the examinations given their lengthy syllabus and other assignments.
