Power woes have worsened in Tehsil Gund and Kangan of Ganderbal district, leaving consumers high and dry.
Consumers of Ganiwan, Banibagh, cherwan, Hayan Kullan, Gund , Fraw Haknar, Rayil
and other areas of Tehsil Gund and Kangan alleged that power had been playing hide-and-seek with them. They said power went off for hours even during the peak hours.“PDD is not sparing our areas and are subjected to frequent outages. Students said they were the worst sufferers. “Our studies have been badly affected by the grim power scenario. During the nights, the power goes off for hours and in absence of power, we are forced to study under candle-lights,” said Jahangeer Ahmad Lone a student.
He said outages have become the order of the day.
Meanwhile the residents threatened to come on roads if PDD fails to provide them uninterrupted electricity and appealed higher authorities to look into it.
