Suspected militants open fire in Kulgam; 2 Policemen dead, 1 critical

Unidentified gunmen Friday opened fire on Kulgam police station resulting in the death of two policemen and critically injuring one, reports said.

Official sources said three personnel of IRP were outside District Police Lines Kulgam when militants fired at them.

The slain duo have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad, Head Constable; Jalaluddin, a Constable, while the injured has been identified as Shamsuddin, a Head Constable.
