Police on Friday morning raided house of Ummat-e-Islami chairperson and Mirwaiz South Kashmir Qazi Ahmad Yasir in Islamabad district.
According to the family sources, police searched the house in Reshibazar area of old town of the district and were looking for the Qazi Yasir.
“When they were unable to find him,” sources said, “Qazi Shubli, who his younger brother of Qazi Yasir and Irfan Ahmad, a party member were arrested by police.”
“They have been arrested without any reason,” an Ummat-e-Islami member said condemning their arrest. “They must be released immediately,” he demanded.
Qazi Yasir was recently released from jail after more than three months of detention in police custody after popular Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani was killed in Bemdoora area of Islamabad district in Kokernag.
