A deputation of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers forum under the leadership of its State president Farooq Ahmed Tantray on Wednesday met Chief Education Officer Kishtwar and put forward their demands and showed its concern over non-redressal of the same.
The forum earlier during a meeting at Kishtwar condemned the burning of schools in Kashmir valley by “unknown miscreants”.
The forum termed the government order in which teachers have been asked to guard the schools as “bluff”. “The job of the teacher is to teach and not to act as Chowkidar,” they said, “the issue is related to law and order problem and should be dealt accordingly.”
During their meeting with CEO Kishtwar, the demands which were raised by the forum include release of pending arrears of newly regularized ReT Teacher, release of pending salary of surplus ReTs, pending arrear of EVs to ReTs of 2013 (5 months), regularization of ReTs, KGBV, ReTs and EVs to ReTs, transfer policy for regularized ReTs teachers, revocation of examination exemption duty order for regularized ReT teachers as done by DSE Kashmir, clearance of permission files of various degrees lying in CEO Office Kishtwar and DSEJ.
The CEO Kishtwar assured them for early redressal of all demands.
