#Day118: DGP Directs Cops for Better Security Arrangements for 10th, 12th Examinations

Director General Police K Rajendra Kumar, who was accompanied by Special DGP Coordination and Law & order, Dr S P Vaid and Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone S JM Gillani chaired a security review meeting in Baramulla on Thursday.

The meeting was attended among others by IGP, CID, A G Mir, IGP, CRPF, DIG, North Kashmir Uttam Chand, SSP Baramulla, SP Bandipora, SP Handwara, SP Sopore, SSP Kupwara and all the Dy SPs operation of North Kashmir, a police statement said this late evening.

During the meeting, Rajendra sought reports from the participants about the status of security arrangements and deployment plans put in place for dealing with the law & order situation.

Rajendra emphasized upon the officers to keep a sharp eye on infiltrators and coordinate with other security agencies to prevent any possible infiltration bid.

DGP gave direction to the participant officers to make better security arrangements for the smooth conduct of 10th and 12th examinations.

DGP also discussed the issue of burning of schools by miscreants and directed the participants to expedite investigations and immediate arrest of culprits.

On the occasion officers of North Kashmir briefed the DGP about law & order situation, anti-militancy operations and overall security scenario of North Kashmir.
