Kupwara: Incumbent MLA Langate, Er Rasheed has welcomed the annual report on human rights produced by Amnesty International.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Rasheed said that Govt of India should not give deaf ear to all the saner voices and added that whatsoever the European Union delegation, has revealed about Human Rights Violations in Kashmir should act as eye opener for New Delhi.
Rasheed said, “The observations made by Amnesty International and European Union are enough to reveal that security forces had committed gross Human Rights Violations in Kashmir and law of the land has gone for a long indefinite leave.”
He said that neither Amnesty international nor European Union has anywhere mentioned that stone pelters were paid taking to streets and the report has exposed India’s crying victim of a conspiracy hatched by Pakistan.”
He said that since European Union has asked Indian institutions to settle the Human Rights violation issues, it amounts to the confession that the institutions of Indian state have miserably failed to do justice with Kashmiris.
He added that the report of Amnesty International has negated Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s issuing No Objection Certificate to security Agencies and if the state Govt. has any moral courage it must punish the state actors who killed unarmed Kashmiri Youth during last six months.
Rasheed appealed Amnesty International, European Union and World Community to move beyond showing concern and use their influence to protect the Human Rights of the people of J&K who are facing the worst sort of “state terrorism” at the hands of forces in every nook and corner.
