Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party on Friday put up hoardings at various places in Jammu asking the refugees to leave.
One such hoarding has been put outside press club in which the Rohingya and Bangladeshis have been asked to leave Jammu immediately. Numbering around 1200, Rohingya families are living in Jammu since the last more than 4 years while Bangladeshis are around 200 in number. Majority of the Rohingya and Bangladeshi families are Muslim.
JKNPP Chairman Harshdev Singh said that the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis have destroyed beauty of Jammu city. “Article 370 does not allow the government to settle immigrants here in Jammu and Kashmir. How have they settled these criminals here? They should immediately leave Jammu. Otherwise, we will force them to leave,” Harshdev Singh said.
He added that his party is likely to start an agitation for ensuring that these Rohingyas and Bangladeshis are thrown out of Jammu. “They are occupying posh areas of Jammu region. BJP is silent since it is in power. But we won’t sit silent,” added Harshdev.
