Pakistan will continue extending moral, political, and diplomatic, support to the “peaceful freedom struggle” of the people of Kashmir, Radio Pakistan quoting Pak PM Nawaz Sharif reported.

Nawaz Sharif while congratulating PML-N candidates Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wassi and Chaudhry Muhammad Siddiq for their victory in “Pakistan Administered Kashmir Council elections”, said Pakistan will not forget the people of Kashmir, who are facing brute “Indian atrocities” to achieve their birth right to self-determination.

The Pak Prime Minister urged the PML-N leaders to focus their energies for the development and progress of Pakistan Administered Kashmir.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to New Delhi, Abdul Basit said Pakistan can never be expected to look the other way on this important issue, the report said.

The envoy, according to the report, urged India to immediately stop “violation of ceasefire” on Line of Control to avoid further escalation.

To a question, Abdul Basit said Pakistan is going to participate in the “Heart of Asia” conference, beginning in Amritsar tomorrow as it attaches great importance to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
