Tehreek-e Hurriyat Monday condemned the slapping of second PSA on its party activist, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad and detaining its tehsil president for Rafiabad, Aijaz Ahmad Bahroo.
In a statement issued here, a spokesperson of the said that these arbitrary arrests and detentions won’t deter us from pursuing the sacred cause of freedom from “Indian occupation”.
The spokesperson while commenting over the “highhandedness” of state administration, said that PDP led administration, for appeasing their RSS masters are harassing youth and making their future bleak. “Sheikh Bashir Ahmad was arrested on August 12 and after court proceedings, he was bailed out and court set him free, but police administration on the behest of puppet regime, shifted him to police station Tangmarg. Today police administration slapped one more PSA against him and lodged him in Kot Bhalwal jail.”
Terming these arrests as illogical and uncalled, the spokesperson said that it is highly deplorable that authorities despite their tall claims for democracy and ‘’Battle of Ideas” is trampling all ethics and norms of humanity.
Tehreek-e Hurriyat in its appeal impressed upon international bodies for human rights and urged them to break their silence and take cognizance of these “violations and lawlessness”, created by authorities under the garb of so called maintenance of law and order.
