1 dies, minor injured in road accidents

One person died while a minor girl was injured in two separate road accidents in Baramulla and Islamabad, police said.

In Baramulla, an unknown vehicle hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK016-7567 driven by Manzoor Ahmad son of Abdul Salam resident of Shalbugh Ganderbal at National Highway Pattan near Hanjiwara Gupan Galli in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.

In Islamabad, a Scooty bearing registration number JK03C-4321 hit and injured a minor girl namely Sani Jan daughter of Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh resident of Batepora Khanbal. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment where from she was referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. Islamabad police has registered a case in this regard.
