SRINAGAR: In a significant development, assets worth lakhs belonging to a notorious drug smuggler have been seized by the Bandipora Police under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
“Bandipora Police has frozen 2 bank accounts, totalling Rs 3,97,603, and one Auto load carrier with a market value of Rs 3,18,000, all linked to Irshad Ahmad, the son of Ab. Samad Khan and a resident of Asham Hajin, under the NDPS Act. This action was taken to combat drug-related activities in the region,” stated a press release.
Bandipora Police emphasised the importance of community support in eradicating such activities. They warned that any violation of the law would result in legal consequences. (KS)
