SRINAGAR: Army’s Northern Commander, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, visited units along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir today to review operational readiness.
This visit to the LoC in Rampur Uri, Baramulla district, follows the recent foiled infiltration attempt at Hatlanga Uri, in which three suspected infiltrators were killed. The Army previously stated that the infiltrating militants had received support from the Pakistan Army.
“#LtGenUpendraDwivedi, #ArmyCdrNC visited LoC units in #Rampur and #RashtriyaRifles Battalion in #Pir Panjal Ranges to review operational readiness. He received briefings on the Dynamic Counter Infiltration Grid and modern methods. The Army Commander interacted with IA, #AssamRifles & JKP troops and commended IA & JKP for the success of #Op KHANDA,” said the Army’s Northern Command in a statement on X.
In another development, the Indian Army reached out to ex-servicemen in the remote area of Tangdhar, Kupwara district. The Army Commander interacted with them at the “Youth Centre Tangdhar,” where 207 ex-servicemen from the region actively participated and appreciated the meaningful interaction.
