SRINAGAR: Sajid Nadiadwala is set to present the film ‘Chandu Champion,’ starring Kartik Aaryan. Filmmaker Kabir Khan directs the film, which recently began shooting with a muhurat shot in London.
Sajid Nadiadwala plans to shoot a significant portion of the film in Kashmir. This marks Nadiadwala’s 30th film to be shot in Kashmir.
The Nadiadwala legacy in cinema dates back to Abdul Karim Nadiadwala, who produced notable films like ‘Pathar Ke Sanam’ in the 1960s, ‘Aa Gale Lag Ja,’ ‘Rafu Chakkar,’ ‘Haath Ki Safai,’ and ‘Adalat,’ featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Neetu Singh.
Sajid himself has previously filmed projects such as ‘Highway,’ ‘Heropanti’ (the debut film of Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon), ‘Phantom,’ and ‘Satya Prem Ki Katha,’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
‘Chandu Champion’ marks the first collaboration between Kartik and Kabir. This sports drama is scheduled for release in June 2024, with a six-month shooting period. The exact release date is yet to be announced.
