Jama’at Influenced areas observe shutdown and protests: Taj

KL Report

SRINAGAR

Reacting to shutdown observed by people in Kulgam and Shopian in wake of the Chief Minister’s visit, Congress leader and Health Minister Taj Mohi-u-Din Wednesday said only those areas observe shutdown where Jama’at-e-Islami is strong and having command over people. “All kinds of protests and shutdowns occur in areas where Jama’at-e-Islami is having stronghold,” he said.

He told CNS that Shutdown and stone-pelting incidents have become routine in Kashmir and it is not surprising for him. “The election rallies of both National Conference and Congress in all parts of the Valley were successful. There is no dissent found among the workers of the both parties and they are working jointly to ensure the defeat the divisive forces,” he said adding that there was perfect understanding between National Conference and Congress party who were working together for success of all the six Lok Sabha candidates in Jammu and Kashmir.
