Srinagar
A meeting of Hurriyat Conference (g) executive council is underway at the residence of its chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani after a long period since authorities disallowed last three meetings of the amalgam.
Reports said that representatives of almost every party reached the Hyderpora residence of Geelani where the octogenarian leader is undergoing house detention and police men outside did not stop anybody.
However, Police did not allow media persons to enter the residence of Geelani.
This is the first ever meeting of the amalgam after its six leaders were arrested by NIA in money laundering case.
The meeting has assumed importance also because it is being held at a time when political atmosphere is very hot due to possible scrapping of Article 35-A of Indian Constitution related to the State Subject Law of Jammu and Kashmir.
