Air India flight turns back from overhead Pulwama after developing technical snag

Srinagar

The Air India flight on Saturday returned back midway while it was on way to Jammu from Srinagar.

Sources said that an air India plane had travelled to Srinagar via Jammu in the morning. “The plane had developed a technical snag at Jammu however, despite that the pilot flew it to Srinagar.

In the afternoon while the plane was travelling to Jammu, it turned back from overhead Pulwama after the technical snag grew severe, sources added.

Pertinently, former JK CM Omar Abdullah was on board the flight.

He tweeted: “Not my day to travel. Now my @airindian flight has turned back from overhead Pulwama after taking off from Srinagar.

Earlier, in a series of tweets, Omar had expressed his desire to travel to Jammu via Mughal road.

However, the encounter in Pulwama forced Omar to take aerial route.
