Srinagar
Authorities on Tuesday ordered the suspension of Mobile Internet services across Kashmir following the killings of two militants, including Lashkar commander Abu Dujana, in a gunfight and ensuing student clashes.
Dujana and his aide Arif Lelhari were killed in a gunfight in Hakripora village earlier today.
A civilian was also killed after forces resorted to firing to disperse protesters marching towards the gunfight site in Hakripora village.
Protests and clashes erupted across Kashmir as soon as the news of the killings spread.
An official said that mobile Internet on 2G, 3G and 4G phones was suspended to prevent the spreading of rumours on the social networking websites.
