SRINAGAR
There are 1144 posts of doctors in the state lying vacant while as around 3305 posts of paramedics yet to be filled.
According to the KNS correspondent, there are 4449 posts of doctors and paramedics staff lying vacant in the state with the government assuring that the speedy measures are being taken for the filing up of the posts.
The details maintained further that the CT scan facility is available in four district hospitals of Kashmir division and that the remaining district hospitals will be provided such facility in phased manner, subject to the availability of funds. The government however admitted that there is no MRI facility available at the district hospital.
While proving the details about Jammu region, the government stated that there is no MRI facility in the health institutions of the Jammu division. However, the government maintained that CT scan facility is available is district hospitals Katua, Udampur, Dodo, Kishtiwar, Poonch, Rajoori, Ramban, Government hospital Gandhinagar and SDH Bhaderwah. The state authorities stated that in district hospital Samba and Reasi, the installation of CT scan is under process.
