South town of Kulgam witnessed a complete shutdown on Wednesday when the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah visited the town to campaign for the coalition candidate Mehboob Baig.
Sources said that the Chief Minister reached the town and addressed his party workers in the local town hall. Earlier, before the arrival of the Chief Minister, some angry youth pelted stones and raised anti-India slogans. Police sources however said, “It was an insignificant incident.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister addressed his party workers in Qaimoh. But before the arrival of the CM, some youth appeared and pelted stones resulting in the tension and chaos. However, the stone pelters were chased away by Police.
Pertinently, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, is on a day long visit to South Kashmir to campaign for the coalition candidate.
