Four policemen guarding the house of National Conference leader Yawar Masoodi have been suspended after Sunday’s militant attack on the house of NC leader in Bapora area of Khrew in Pulwama district.
During Sunday’s attack, two policemen Head Constable Abdul Hamid and Constable Vinod Kumar were killed after two militants tried to enter the house of Yawar Masoodi.
Sources told CNS that at least six policemen were guarding the house of Masoodi. After the death of two policemen, the four other security guards have been placed under suspension.
Sources added that at the time of attack only two security guards were present in the house.
SP Awantipora, Abdul Waheed said that an inquiry is going on in this regard. “Some security guards have been suspended till inquiry is completed,” he said.
