Three gamblers were arrested in Srinagar and stake money of Rs. 1500 was also recovered from them, police said on Saturday.
A statement said that Nowhatta Police arrested three gamblers who were later identified as Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh resident of Sheikh Colony, Showkat Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad, Mohammad Rafiq Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool residents of Sazgaripora and Mohammad Iqbal son of Ali Mohammad resident of Mashili Mohala Nowhatta while gambling at a public place.
During the raid Rs 1500 were recovered from the gambling site. Case FIR numbers 27/2014 under section 510 RPC and FIR number 28/14 under section 13 Gambling act was registered in Police Sation Nowhatta.
