SRINAGAR: PROMYS India (Programme in Mathematics for Young Scientists), PROMYS India is a residential mathematics summer programme for students in India. It is an opportunity offered in partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, for students in Classes 9 to 12. The last date to apply is February 1, 2024.
The selected students will be awarded a full scholarship covering tuition, housing, and meals for the six weeks of the programme. In addition, applicants can apply for need-based funds for travel and laundry expenses.
Applicants should be at least 15 years old by May 5, 2024 and should have completed (or are currently in) Class 9 before the start of the programme.
The documents include Application problem set, Online application form, Teacher recommendation form to be submitted by a mathematics teacher or mentor, School Report Card(s) – for all years from Class 9 and above (from Class 8 and above for students applying in Class 9).
