U-Go Scholarship Programme For Female Students Open, Apply Soon

SRINAGAR: U-Go, in collaboration with GiveIndia, introduces the U-Go Scholarship Programme 2023-24, aimed at providing financial support to female students pursuing professional graduation courses in India. The deadline for application submission is December 19, 2023.

Female students who are enrolled in professional graduation courses like teaching, nursing, pharmacy, medicine, engineering, etc are eligible to apply for the scholarship. They must be in the first year of their graduation programme and must have secured a minimum of 70 per cent marks in both Class 10 and 12 examinations. The annual family income should be less than INR 5 lakh.

Selected scholars will receive financial assistance according to their chosen courses. Students enrolled in teaching courses will receive INR 40,000 per year for two years. Students enrolled in nursing and pharma courses will receive INR 40,000 per year for four years and students enrolled in engineering and medicine courses will receive INR 60,000 per year for four years.

The funds are designated exclusively for academic expenses, covering tuition fees, hostel fees, food, travel, internet, device, books, stationery, online learning, and related educational purposes.

The documents that are needed to submit include Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificates, Government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar card/Voter ID card/Driver’s license/PAN card), Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate), Family income proof (ITR Form-16/income certificate issued by competent government authority/salary slips), Payment receipts for funds spent on academic pursuits, Bank account details of the applicant and Photograph of the applicant.
