Two injured in clashes in Pulwama village

Srinagar: Two persons were injured after intense clashes erupted between protesters and forces in Belov village of Pulwama in southern part of Kashmir on Monday, amid a complete shutdown against the killing of two militants at Padgampora on Sunday, reports said on Monday.

Belov is the ancestral village of Shahbaz Shafi Wani alias Rayees Kachroo who was also killed in yesterday’s ambush.

Two Hizb ul Mujahideen militants identified as Rayees Ahmad and Farooq Ahmed Hurrah were killed in a brief shootout with government forces near Padgampora, Awantipora.

Meanwhile thousands of people have gathered in the native villages of two slain militants to attend their funeral prayers, they added.
